- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- shortening
Directions

1Roll doves in a dry mixture of flour, salt and pepper.

2Brown birds in a skillet with a small amount of shortening added.

3Remove most of the drippings and add a small amount of water.

4Simmer birds over low heat for 1 hour.
