- 3 lb. spareribs
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Wipe spareribs with a damp cloth; cut into serving portions. Dip in flour seasoned with salt and pepper.

2Brown in hot bacon drippings.

3Reduce heat.

4Add water; cover and simmer until tender, about 1 hour.

5If preferred, place browned spareribs in baking pan with water.

6Cover and bake in a moderately slow oven (325°).

7Serves 5.
