- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. all-bran cereal
- 1 c. milk
- generous 1/3 c. molasses
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. shortening or vegetable oil
Directions

1Add milk and molasses to bran and let stand 2 minutes; add egg and shortening and beat well.

2Sift dry ingredients together and add, stirring only until combined.

3Bake at 400° for about 25 minutes.

4Serve warm.
