- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 c. diced dates
- 5 tsp. soda
- 2 c. 40% bran flakes
- 5 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 4 c. All-Bran Buds
Directions

1Pour boiling water over dates.

2Cool and add soda.

3Cream together sugar, eggs and remaining ingredients.

4Mix well.

5Store in covered container in the refrigerator.

6It will keep up to 6 weeks.

7Do not stir!

8Spoon into greased tins.

9Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.

10This will make 12 dozen muffins.
