- 4 c. bran with raisins flakes
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. nuts
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. liquid shortening
Directions

1In a large bowl stir together, bran flakes, flour, nuts, soda, salt and sugar.

2Make a well in the center.

3In another bowl mix beaten eggs, buttermilk and oil.

4Add to flour mixture stirring just until moistened.

5Batter will be thick.

6Cover and store in refrigerator up to 3 weeks.

7To bake muffins, fill greased cups 3/4 full.

8Bake in a 375° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

9Makes 3 dozen.
