  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 c. flour (1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 white)
  • 5 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 1 c. melted Crisco
  • 15 oz. Raisin Bran cereal

Directions

    Combine dry ingredients.

    Mix eggs, buttermilk and Crisco, then mix with dry ingredients.

    Bake in muffin tins at 400° for about 15 minutes.

    Stores well in refrigerator for up to 6 weeks. This recipe makes a lot, 1/2 recipe may be plenty.
