- 1 cup shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 5 cups flour
- 2 cups boiling water
- 4 cups milk
- 5 teaspoons baking soda
- 3 cups all bran buds
- 2 cups bran flakes (ground)
Directions

1Blend the shortening, sugar, and salt together.

2Add the eggs and cream together.

3Add the flour.

4In a saucepan, combine the water, milk, baking soda, bran buds, and bran flakes.

5Cook bud do not scald the milk (it seems to make the muffins really dense).

6Mix the two portions together and put into muffin pan.

7Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
