Ingredients

  • 6 c. flour, sifted and set aside
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. 100% Bran Buds
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Directions

    Combine together Crisco, boiling water, sugar, Bran Buds and salt.

    Add to Crisco mixture the lukewarm water and yeast.

    Add to mixture the eggs and 1/2 flour; beat until light.

    Add remaining flour, more if needed.

    Let rise until doubled.

    Knead.

    Place in 2 well-greased loaf pans and let rise.

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
