  • 14 cup unsalted butter, cup
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 14 cup cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon brandy (or rum)

    Use a good quality Cognac.

    In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and sugar on medium-low heat until it turns a golden color.

    Whisk in the cream and simmer a minute or so until the sauce has thickened.

    Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and brandy.

    Drizzle over each slice of cranberry pudding.

    This sauce can he refrigerated until needed and then reheated.
