- 4 oz. butter
- 4 oz. sugar
- 4 oz. golden syrup (1/4 c.)
- 4 oz. flour
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar; beat in syrup.

2Sift in flour and ginger and mix.

3Place a teaspoon at a time on ungreased cookie sheet.

4Spread mixture out.

5Bake at 350° until pale brown (approximately 8 minutes).

6When just cool enough to handle, curl around a broom handle and leave until cool and set.

7Twenty minutes prior to serving, fill with whipped cream.
