Bread Custard Pudding

  • 3 1/2 c. milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 slices cubed stale bread
  • 1 c. raisins

Directions

    Bring milk to a boiling point.

    Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla in blender.

    Add to milk, stirring rapidly.

    Pour milk over bread that has been put in a 3-quart Pyrex bowl.

    Sprinkle with raisins and cinnamon.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour in a pan of hot water.

    It is done when knife inserted into custard comes out clean.
