Bread (Easy Egg Braid)

Ingredients
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten (reserve 1 Tbsp. egg for glaze)
Directions

1In bowl, combine 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt.

2Mix well.

3Heat water, milk and shortening until warm (shortening does not need to melt), then add to flour mixture.

4Add eggs.

5Beat 3 minutes at medium speed.

6By hand, gradually stir

7remaining flour to make a firm dough.

8Knead until smooth and elastic at least 5 minutes.

9Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top.
