  • 1 (1/4 oz.) pkg. yeast
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 c. very warm water
  • 1 1/2 more c. flour (extra flour, if needed)
  • 1 gal. size self-sealing Ziploc type plastic bag

Directions

    Put yeast, 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar and salt into the bag.

    Add margarine and warm water.
  3. 3
    Press most of the air out of the bag and seal.
  4. 4
    Press and squeeze the bag with hands until dough is mixed.

    Open bag and add last 1 1/2 cups flour.

    Seal the bag again and keep pressing until the flour is mixed into the dough. Add more flour if dough is sticky.

    Unzip the bag and let dough rest for 20 minutes.

    Grease loaf pan.

    Place dough in pan.

    Let the dough rest for 1 hour in a warm place.

    (Dough should double in size.)

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Bake bread for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove bread from pan to cool.
