  • 1/4 c. white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Fermipan yeast
  • 4 1/2 c. warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 c. vegetable oil or melted lard
  • 10 c. flour, approx. (to make a soft dough)

    Mix sugar, salt, yeast, and some flour.

    Add water, vinegar, and oil.

    Add more flour.

    Knead to make a dough that is soft and easy to work with.

    Let rise for 15 min.

    Punch down.

    Let rise until doubled in bulk.

    Form into buns.

    Let rise for 1 hour or until almost doubled.

    Bake at 400°F for 15 - 20 min.
