- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 pt. (2 c.) milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 slices buttered bread
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Beat egg and add vanilla, milk, bread and sugar.

2Set aside for 30 minutes, then put into a buttered baking dish.

3Sprinkle with nutmeg, raisins and butter over the top.

4If you double this recipe, use a 13 x 9-inch pan.

5Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Set baking dish in pan of water in oven, if possible.

6Done when silver knife comes out clean.
