  • 3 c. dry bread cubes (unseasoned)
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. raisins (optional)

Directions

    Grease medium casserole dish.

    Mix all ingredients in another mixing bowl except bread cubes and raisins.

    Mix until sugar is dissolved.

    Add bread cubes and raisins.

    Stir until well mixed. Pour into greased baking dish.

    Place this dish in a large roasting dish.

    Water should be added to the other dish to 1-inch deep.

    Bake 1 hour at 375°.

    Serve warm with a basic white glaze.
