  • 2 c. fresh bread, broken into chunks
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter

Directions

    Place broken bread in 1 1/2-quart buttered casserole.

    Break eggs in a bowl and beat; add milk, sugar, salt, vanilla and butter.

    Stir.

    Pour over bread and mix well.

    Bake about 45 minutes at 350°.
