- 8 pork chops (1/2 inches thick)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 cups fine dry breadcrumbs
- 13 cup cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
Directions

1Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper on both sides.

2Pound chops flat with meat mallet.

3Dip chops lightly in flour.

4In small bowl, combine egg and water; beat slightly.

5Dip each chop in egg mixture, smearing with fingers so that it adheres.

6Dip each chop in bread crumbs and pat lightly with the back of a spoon or small spatula to help crumbs stick.

7Heat butter and oil in large skillet.

8Fry chops until golden; about 3-4 minutes on each side.
