Ingredients
- 6 slices bread
- butter or margarine
- 1 lb. bulk sausage (mild)
- 6 eggs
- 2 c. half and half
- 1 tsp. salt
- black pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese (Cheddar)
Directions

1Remove crust from bread.

2Spread butter or margarine on bread. Place in casserole dish.

3Brown sausage and drain, then spoon over bread.

4Mix eggs well; add half and half, salt and pepper.

5Pour this mixture over bread and sausage.

6Top with grated Cheddar cheese.

7Cover and refrigerate overnight.

8Set out about 15 minutes before baking.

9Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until set.
