  • 2 1/2 c. herbed seasoned croutons
  • 2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (5 1/2 oz.)
  • 1/4 lb. sliced mushrooms (approximately 1 1/2 c.)
  • 2 lb. sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 tsp. dry mustard

Directions

    Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Arrange croutons in single layer in bottom of dish.

    Sprinkle cheese and mushrooms evenly over croutons. Cook sausage in a large skillet, breaking into chunks, until browned, about 15 minutes.

    Drain thoroughly. Place sausage over cheese and mushrooms. Beat eggs, milk, soup and mustard.

    Pour over sausage.

    Bake until set, about 1 1/2 hours at 300°.

    Serve hot.

    This can be prepared ahead and refrigerated overnight.
