  • 12 slices white bread, buttered
  • 2 (12 oz.) pkg. smokies sausage
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta or Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 6 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Break up bread into an oiled 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Add sausage and cheese that has been cut into bite size pieces.

    Add milk to eggs and beat well. Add salt, pepper and mustard; pour over bread, sausage and cheese.

    Refrigerate overnight. Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour in a 350° oven.

    Serves 10 to 12 people.
