Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 slices white bread, remove crust and cube
  • 1/2 c. Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 lb. ground sausage
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 5 to 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Oil a 9 x 13-inch pan and cover with bread cubes.

    Fry sausage and drain well.

    Sprinkle sausage over bread and sprinkle cheese over sausage.

    Combine milk, slightly beaten eggs and seasonings. Pour over sausage mixture.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until set.

    Very good for breakfast or brunch.
