- 16 slices bread (crusts removed)
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1 green pepper (optional)
- 8 oz. pkg. Cheddar cheese
- 1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled *
- 6 well-beaten eggs
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1In 13 x 9-inch glass pan, place 8 slices bread, buttered side down.

2Spread mushrooms, green pepper, cheese and bacon on top.

3Place 8 more slices bread, buttered side up.

4To eggs, add milk, salt and dry mustard.

5Pour over casserole and let set in refrigerator overnight.

6Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
