Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 c. chopped cooked bacon, cubed ham or breakfast sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard

    Spray a 13 x 9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.

    Cube French bread; arrange in pan.

    Sprinkle cheese and meat over bread.

    In separate bowl, beat eggs, milk, salt and dry mustard together.

    Pour egg mixture over bread.

    Allow casserole to sit in refrigerator overnight (at least 8 hours).

    Bake the next morning at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

    Let stand 5 minutes and serve.
