  • 1 1/2 lb. sausage (hot or mild)
  • 8 1/2 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 9 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 slices bread, diced

Directions

    Brown sausage and drain.

    Spread crumbled sausage on bottom of 2-quart baking dish.

    Sprinkle the grated cheese over the bread crumbs.

    Mix the eggs and milk together and pour over the mixture. Cover the casserole and refrigerate for at least 8 hours.

    It will keep 48 hours before baking.

    Put in cold oven at 350° and bake for 40 minutes.

    Let stand 2 minutes before serving.
