Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c. rolled oats
  • 2/3 c. peanuts
  • 10 strips bacon or 1 c. raisins (if you use bacon, you will have to cook it crisp, drain and crumble it.)

Directions

    Beat margarine, sugar and egg in large mixing bowl.

    Add flour and baking soda.

    Mix well.

    Stir in rolled oats, cheese, peanuts and bacon or raisins.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cooking sheets. Leave space between each cookie.

    Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

    Store in refrigerator.

    Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
