- 4 -5 pieces of leftover cake like cornbread
- 1/2 - 1 cup vegetable oil, melted lard or 1/2-1 cup olive oil
- maple syrup
Directions

1Slice cornbread in half, placing the baked sides up on a plate.

2Heat pan on medium, pouring or dropping oil or lard in once it's hot.

3Fry each piece on baked side first.

4Flip, fry on other side.

5Serve with warmed maple syrup.
