  • 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. each: ground cinnamon, divided, and double-acting baking powder
  • 1/4 c. sugar, divided
  • 1/4 c. less 1 tsp. margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. skim milk
  • 1/2 oz. ground walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp. whipped butter, melted

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    In a bowl, combine flour, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and baking powder; set aside.

    Using electric mixer at medium speed in medium size bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of sugar, margarine and egg.

    Beat until creamy.

    Alternate flour mixture and milk until combined.

    Stir in walnuts.

    Drop onto nonstick baking sheet into 12 equal mounds, about 2 inches apart.

    Brush with melted butter.

    Combine remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and sprinkle over puffs.

    Bake until puffed and golden, 12 to 15 minutes.
