- 4 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 6 to 7 c. flour
Directions

1Scald milk and add cool water.

2When lukewarm, add yeast, salt, eggs, sugar and shortening.

3Add 2 cups flour and mix well.

4Add 4 more cups and stir.

5Knead in about 1/2 cup more flour.

6Place in a greased bowl and let rise to double.

7Divide dough.

8Roll in rectangles.

9Butter and fold each in half.

10Cut into 1/2 to 3/4-inch strips.

11Pull and twist and wind into a solid circle.

12Let rise again.
-
13Bake 15 minutes at 375°.
