  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. caraway seed
  • 1 pkg. (200 g) Cracker Barrel Brick Cheese, cut in half horizontally
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. brandy, warmed
  • 1 lemon, cut in half crosswise

Directions

    Beat egg lightly in shallow dish; set aside.

    Combine bread crumbs and caraway seed in separate shallow dish.

    Dip cheese into egg, then in crumb mixture, turning to evenly coat both sides.

    Melt butter in skillet on medium heat.

    Add cheese.

    Cook 2 min.

    on each side or just until lightly browned on both sides.

    Place cheese in very hot ceramic or other heatproof dish.

    Top with brandy; carefully ignite brandy.

    Squeeze lemon over flaming cheese to douse.

    Serve with assorted Christie Crackers.
