  • 3 lbs beef brisket
  • non seasoned meat tenderizer
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 3 T water

Directions

    Remove excess fat from brisket. Sprinkle all sides of meat evenly with tenderizer, using 1/2 tsp/lb with a fork pierce all sided deeply at 1 inch intervals. Let stand at Room Temp for 1 hour.(or loosely cover and refrigerate over night). Place on a square of heavy aluminum foil. Sprinkle with onion soup mix, and add water. Fold foil, making a tight package. Place in a shallow baking dish. Bake at 450 deg for 2 1/2 hrs or until tender. Slice meat against the grain.
