- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. first cut brisket
- 4 large onions
- salt
- paprika
- black pepper
- 4 fresh cloves garlic
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Trim off every piece of fat from brisket.

2Slice the onions thinly and brown in skillet to golden.

3Place brisket in large roasting pan.

4Cover brisket with browned onions, dash of salt, paprika and black pepper.

5Sprinkle top with the chopped garlic cloves.

6Add 1 cup water to pan.

7Cover and cook at 250° for 3 1/2 to 4 hours (or until tender).
