- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 23 cup chopped pecans or 23 cup almonds
Directions

1Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.

2Add sugar, cook stirring often until melted, 3-4 minute.

3Add water and corn syrup.

4Cook without stirring until 300 degrees on your candy thermometer, 15-20 min.

5,do not undercook.

6Remove from heat.

7Imediately pour onto a greased baking sheet.

8Sprinkle chocolate chips over toffee.

9Let stand 5 minute.

10Spread over candy base.

11Sprinkle nuts over chocolate; press gently.

12Cool completely, break into pieces.

13Never make candy on a humid day.
