Broccoli Casserole

  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, chopped broccoli, thawed
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 c. butter cracker crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. grated onion
  • 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise

Directions

    Combine broccoli, mushroom soup, half the cracker crumbs, egg, onion, half the cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper, water chestnuts and mayonnaise in bowl; mix well.

    Spoon into 2 1/2-quart casserole.

    Sprinkle with remaining cracker crumbs and cheese. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes.
