  • 1 can Vege Burger
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 3 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, cooked
  • pastry for 2 crust pie
  • milk
  • 4 oz. Monterey Jack cheese

Directions

    Brown burger and onion.

    Stir in flour, salt and garlic salt. Add 1 1/4 cups milk and cream cheese; cook and stir until mixture is smooth and bubbly.

    Add a moderate amount of hot mixture to egg; return to hot mixture in skillet.

    Cook until thickened.

    Stir in chopped, cooked broccoli; set aside.

    Line a 9-inch pie pan with half of pastry.

    Spoon in hot mixture.

    Cut or shred Jack cheese and put in hot mixture.

    Put on top pie crust, seal and make steam vents with a fork.

    Brush top of pie with milk.

    Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.

    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
