Broccoli Soup

Ingredients

  • fresh broccoli
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cans milk
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 block butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • salt and black pepper
  • garlic powder
  • Tony Chachere's seasoning

Directions

    Steam broccoli flowers in a cup of water.

    Grate onion and saute in butter.

    Slowly add in cream of mushroom soup, adding the milk and seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic and Tony's).

    Bring to a slow boil, adding in Cheddar cheese, stirring often.

    Let come to a rolling boil.

    Add broccoli.

    Cut heat back; cover with a lid, cooking for 10 minutes.

    Let stand another 10 minutes.

    Serves 6.
