Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 qt. water
  • 10 oz. frozen broccoli
  • 3/4 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. m.s.g. or Accent
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 8 oz. or 6 slices cheese
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 3/4 c. margarine (1/2 stick)
  • 1/3 c. plain flour (thickening)
  • 1/2 c. cold milk (thickening)

Directions

    Bring 1 1/2 quart water to boil.

    Add broccoli and onions. Boil 10 minutes.

    Add seasonings and cheese.

    Stir until cheese melts.

    Add milk, canned milk and margarine.

    Stir until it reaches a boil.

    Add thickening.

    Get lumps out.

    Can be kept warm until served.
