  • French bread, sliced 1/2-inch thick
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped fine
  • 1/4 c. fresh basil leaves, chopped fine
  • Parmesan cheese
  • olive oil
  • freshly ground black pepper

Directions

    Crush garlic cloves and saute briefly in olive oil.

    Toast the bread pieces in a toaster oven or broiler.

    Brush the bread with the garlic oil.

    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

    Top with tomato and basil.

    Drizzle with olive oil.

    Add pepper if desired.
