- 4 c. barbecue sauce
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 bay leaf
- garlic powder to taste
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. lemon and pepper seasoning
- 16 quail (breasts and legs)
Directions

1Combine any commercial barbecue sauce or your own with oil, bay leaf, garlic and lemon and pepper seasoning.

2Pour over cleaned quail and marinate at room temperature for about 1 hour before cooking.

3Broil over charcoal, turning once or twice, until done, about 20 minutes.

4Do not overcook as this will dry out the tender white meat of the quail.

5Serve barbecue sauce separately. The legs make delicious hors d'oeuvres.
