Brown Sugar Bread Pudding

  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 c. bread cubes
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/3 c. white sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs

Directions

    Mix together in bowl, brown and white sugars, salt and cinnamon.

    Stir in milk and vanilla.

    Fold in bread cubes and lightly beaten eggs.

    Pour into greased 1 quart baking dish.

    Dot with butter or margarine.

    Bake at 325° until inverted knife comes out clean, about 45 minutes.
