  • 1 lb. box brown sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream butter, Crisco, brown sugar and white sugar.

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

    Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and eggs.

    Beat well after each addition.

    Add vanilla. Bake in 325° oven for 1 hour and 25 minutes in tube pan.
