- 1 c. shortening
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 lb. light brown sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. undiluted evaporated milk
- 2 tsp. maple flavoring or vanilla
Directions

1Cream together shortening, margarine and light brown sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well.

2Sift and measure flour, baking powder and salt.

3To the creamed mixture, add the flour mixture and undiluted evaporated milk.

4Add flavoring or vanilla and mix well.

5Bake in a tube pan at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
