- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. uncooked long grain rice
- 1 can cream of onion
- 1 can cream of mushroom
- 1 can beef consomme
- salt to taste
Directions

1Melt butter in skillet.

2Add rice and cook over medium heat until rice is light brown.

3Stir as it browns.

4Pour rice and butter into ungreased 2-quart casserole.

5Add soups and mushrooms and stir.

6Cover; bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

7Taste before serving and add salt, if needed.

8The soup and consomme will partly season rice.

9Stir every 15 minutes.

10Yields 6 servings.
