Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 pt. vanilla ice cream
  • 6 egg yolks (save whites)
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar

Directions

    Melt margarine and chocolate, remove from heat and blend in sugar.

    Add eggs and water; beat well.

    Stir in dry ingredients, nuts and vanilla.

    Bake at 350° in greased 7 x 11-inch pan for 20 minutes.

    Cool.

    Cut into 8 squares.

    Place on baking sheet.

    Cut each pint carton of ice cream into 4 blocks.

    Place one on each brownie and freeze (about 2 hours).
