  • 2 c. flour (plain)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk

    Sift sugar, flour and salt into a bowl.

    In a saucepan, place butter, cocoa and water.

    Bring to a boil.

    Stir into sifted dry ingredients; mix well.
