- 2 c. flour (plain)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift sugar, flour and salt into a bowl.

2In a saucepan, place butter, cocoa and water.

3Bring to a boil.

4Stir into sifted dry ingredients; mix well.

6a separate bowl, beat eggs.

7Add vanilla, soda and buttermilk.

9Pour into greased sheet cake pan.
