Brownie Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. white sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa

Directions

    Mix together the flour, white sugar, baking powder, 1 tablespoon cocoa and salt.

    Mix only until smooth.

    Add milk, shortening, vanilla and nuts.

    Spread into a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.

    Mix together brown sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa and sprinkle over batter.

    Pour 1 cup boiling water over batter. This forms sauce in bottom of the pan as pudding is baked. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
