- 2/3 c. cocoa
- 2/3 c. vegetable oil
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Spray or grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

3Mix cocoa, oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl.

4Stir in remaining ingredients.

5Spread in pan.

6Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until brownies start to pull away from sides of pan. Do not overbake.

7Cool slightly.

8Cut into bars.

9If desired, spread with your favorite chocolate frosting.

10(For a low fat version of this recipe, substitute 2/3 cup applesauce in place of the oil; omit egg yolks and nuts.)
