  • 375g (13oz) dark chocolate
  • 375g (13oz) unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 6 large eggs
  • 500g (2 1/2 cups) sugar
  • 225g (2 2 1/2 cups) flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 300g (2 1/2 cups) chopped walnuts

    Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F. Line tin pan 33 x 23 x 5.5 with parchment paper. Melt butter and chocolate in heavy pan. Beat together eggs, sugar and vanilla. In another bowl mix flour and salt. When chocolate mixture has melted let cool a bit before beating in eggs and sugar mixture, then nuts and then the flour. Pour into tin and bake 45 minutes.
