  • 3/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. melted shortening
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 beaten eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Directions

    Melt chocolate and shortening over low-heat.

    Remove from heat, add sugar and blend.

    Add eggs and blend; add flour and salt and blend.

    Mix in nuts.

    Bake at 325° for 25 minutes in lightly greased pan.
