- 12 slices white bread, crusts removed and buttered
- 1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 lb. cooked, crumbled sausage
- 4 eggs
- 3 c. milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1In a buttered 2-quart casserole, layer 6 slices of bread, 1/2 of sausage and 1/2 of cheese.

2Repeat layer (buttered side of bread up).

3Blend milk, eggs, salt and pepper.

4Pour over layers; cover and refrigerate overnight.

5Bake 1 hour at 325°.
